不幸(フカウ)に憂(ウレヘ)に沈める人の、頭(カシラ)おろしなどふつゝかに思ひとりたるにはあらで、
あるかなきかに、門(カド)さしこめて、待つこともなく明(アカ)し暮したる、さるかたにあらまほし。
顕基(アキモト)中納言の言ひけん、配所(ハイショ)の月、罪なくて見ん事、さも覚えぬべし。
Modern translation
Menhera, who is proud of her misfortune, does not do anything strange, even if she is a priest.
I think that's fine for living a neat life half dead.
This is why Akimoto Minamoto Chunagon said, "I'm looking at the moon from prison even though I haven't done anything."
