万(ヨロヅ)にいみじくとも、色好まざらん男は、いとさうざうしく、
玉の巵(サカヅキ)の当(ソコ)なき心地ぞすべき。
露霜(ツユシモ)にしほたれて、所定めずまどひ歩(アリ)き、
親の諫(イサ)め、世の謗(ソシ)りをつゝむに心の暇(イトマ)なく、あふさきるさに思ひ乱れ、
さるは、独り寝がちに、まどろむ夜なきこそをかしけれ。
さりとて、ひたすらたはれたる方にはあらで、女にたやすからず思はれんこそ、
あらまほしかるべきわざなれ。
